Miners in Space
I led a team of 20 in proposing, designing, constructing, and conducting Micro-gravity research through the NASA Reduced Gravity Flight Opportunities Program.
I got the opportunity to experience microgravity environments three times with two different experiments.
My first experiment was the testing of a safe and low cost cold gas thruster system for a micro satellite.
The second experiment which was wholly developed and conducted under my leadership was a novel method for conducting C.P.R. (Cardiopulmonary resuscitation) in a microgravity environment. A procedure for a basic first aid procedure such as C.P.R. would be crucial for any long term habitation expeditions in space. See my report on the C.P.R. experiment here.
